- Weekend retreats start on Friday at 7:30pm unless designated
otherwise. You may arrive anytime after 4pm.
- Five-day retreats start on Tuesday at 7:30pm.
- Retreats are silent unless otherwise noted.
- Vegetarian meals will be offered on Saturday (breakfast, lunch and
dinner) and Sunday (breakfast and lunch). You may be asked to bring a
dish.
- Coffee and water is available throughout the day.
- Retreats usually end Sunday after lunch.
- Suggested items to bring for overnights: alarm clock, flashlight and
appropriate shoes for outside outdoor samu, bedding and sleeping bag
or airbed (3 beds are available in house upon request, towels).
- Any questions regarding the retreat should be directed to the office.

ZAZENKAI (1-day retreats) September 14, 2008
Held at HMCL Zen Community, 6:30am to 1pm.
The zendo will be open for Zazenkai participants only.

Weekend Retreat at the
Orchid Farm

A silent retreat of intense sitting to help deepen our practice in the
safety of the wilds of Sussex County. You are welcome to sleep in
the house or under the stars. We will engage in samu – work practice
- in the orchid greenhouse and around the farm, and optional silent
swimming. You will be required to bring a food entree. A $50 non-
refundable deposit is due when you register.
